The SISCON Center is outfitted with cutting-edge instrumentation in order to provide specific services with cutting-edge equipment to develop innovative applied research and specific consultancy, as well as to encourage possible collaborations with major European and global research centers. The equipment includes both instrumentation and signal processing software from traditional, innovative and experimental devices.
Chemical analysis
The Infrastructure Laboratory at the Department of Applied Science and Technology is skilled in the preparation and the microstructural characterization of cementitious materials, as well as any inorganic construction material.

SISCON conducts studies and research on the development of methodologies capable of reliably estimating the strength of structural materials with the goal of promoting their direct application in the assessment of the state of health of all Italian infrastructural heritage.
